KAVOS Restaurant in Wiesbaden

Very tasty food and great ambience. Service is top notch and we have always left the restaurant satisfied. We would also be happy to recommend this to friends and relatives if they are looking for a nice restaurant in the city center.

We went to Kavos Essen very often in 2020. The owner is a real Greek restaurateur> hospitable, entertaining and direct. From our point of view, the food has a very good price-performance ratio and the recommendations for a suitable (red) wine always fit like a fist on the eye. Except for once (the place was very full and everyone came almost at the same time), the food was always served in an appropriate period of time and at the right time. The ambience is very appealing. We are therefore very happy to give five stars and hope that the gates will finally open again! P.S .: We recommend the homemade Bifteki (homemade minced steak filled with sheep cheese) - simply outstanding!

We passed by there by chance and found the restaurant very appealing. Both the food and the service deserve the 5 stars! Everything was really right here! The service was always very attentive and the food was excellent! I've even been able to enjoy my favorite food "Pastizio" here for a long time. So delicious !!! A very different Greek restaurant ... We were there for the first time. The menu I saw as I walked by sounded delicious and that's how I convinced my family that we would have lunch there. The first problems arose with the seats. We wanted to sit outside at a free table by the wall, whereupon the boss said that was not possible. I asked him which seat we could get instead without it being too tight and he said that he would make room, whereupon he cursed (yes, I understood you very well !!) and made the table ready. We thanked them for the circumstances and chose our dishes. But we already had the feeling that they didn't want to serve us, because we had been sitting with closed cards for quite a while and trying to draw attention to us. At some point the boss came and actually asked if we wanted to order something, which we finally did. We took the octopus twice, the potatoes with ketchup twice and the zucchini meatballs once. When the plates came we were very disillusioned - the octopus was so narrow and little on the plate that I wasn't sure what exactly it must have been, especially when I see the octopus pictures in the reviews ... And for the price it was definitely not enough on the plate, especially since I didn't eat out in a star restaurant either. The food wasn't bad, but nothing more! The zucchini meatballs, which weren't meatballs but three small thalers (!!) with a little dip and coleslaw, were also absolutely not appropriate for a main course. I would have liked very much that the price-performance ratio would have been right, as the restaurant makes a very nice impression. Incidentally, I think it is absolutely not okay that the table distances to the respective tables were not kept (almost 1m distance in front of and behind one, the distance between the adjacent tables was guaranteed by a separation protection) and that we do not enter ourselves in any prescribed list had to. Furthermore, it is a no go if not all guests are treated equally and courteously, regardless of whether you like a guest or not. These differences were very clearly visible and noticeable. While we were eating we were not asked whether everything was okay, nor were we, like others, offered an ouzo, nor were they attentive to us, let alone saying goodbye. Even with the invoice, I had to wait for the invoice even after being asked several times. I work in the restaurant myself and I am of the opinion that every guest is treated like a king and that the food should be appropriate and I am obviously not completely alone with my opinion if you read some reviews here .. .

Very friendly service and advice as you would expect from a Greek restaurant. Nice, varied menu and daily specials. Matching wines. It was a nice evening, I'll be back!

We had a very nice evening with excellent food, which is very different from the “typical Greek dishes”. Here attention is paid to the details and quality. We were served very friendly and attentive - big compliments to our waiter. We will be back :)

Promised the chef to leave a review though I am a bit late. Our visit was great, the antipasti as well as the meat and the food in general were delightful and I really liked their take on the mojito using ouzo. Which was actually very well balanced, especially cause ouzu is hard to use in cocktails in my opinion. The service was absolutely excellent (!) and I really enjoyed the guy coming around and singing in greek for a bit 👌👌. Beautiful atmosphere as well. Overall a great restaurant to try, though a bit pricey. But worth it! :)

Today we sat outside very nicely, the tables nicely set. Attentive service, with delicious recommendations for food. We would love to come back.

Small shops flourish in Grabenstrasse, musicians occasionally play and when the sun is shining, a few people cavort in the small alley. Kavos is not a typical Greek in Germany! It tastes better! I tried 2 starters and I am thrilled! Finely seasoned, in everything you can taste the freshness of the food. If you don't like garlic, you can certainly get advice. The cooking point or the preparation is to the point and not cooked to death ... Above all, the menu, which is not too extensive, makes you want to try everything. Great atmosphere and very friendly team! Kids are welcome ... A top recommendation from me

Very tasty food, nice service, great!

The restaurant is actually extremely nicely furnished. No cheap decoration, but the color was the most very well matched to each other.Here you get both: friendly and brisk waiters.I hadn't been so impressed by an inn for a long time , but then there would have been no room for the unique meal.

A real pleasure and simple luxury in the middle of Wiesbaden - traditional Greek wine and food culture takes you to the coasts of the Aegean and the island world of the Cyclades, the gentle landscapes of the Peleponnes and the mountains of Macedonia. The whole variety of delicacies, from the starter to the main course to the desert, is clearly presented in the menu. Great advice on wine directly from the owner is included for free. The best Greek in Wiesbaden. Style, ambience, hospitality of the boss, great staff. But above all, excellent cuisine. The moussaka and seafood are great. And yogurt for dessert. In addition Greek wine from the family business. Not to be beaten.

Such a great restaurant! The food was delicious - best grilled octopus ever! And the lamb dishes are to die for! The owner was so friendly and a great host! We are only in Wiesbaden for one week and we’ve already made a reservation for another evening while we’re here.

We had a wonderful lunch at this fantastic restaurant. The service was excellent! I had the best grilled octopus I've ever had. The spinach salad was tasty with a simple dressing that paired well with the sesame seeds and a cheesy Greek spread. A sampling of a couple of red wine options by the host, both were finely selected, and a pleasure to enjoy over conversation. The grilled pork on a skewer was seasoned and cooked tender to perfection. It was easy to finish off with the house made tzaziki. We enjoyed a baked eggplant with feta and tomato on cheesy crispy phyllo pastry. The atmosphere of this cozy well decorated restaurant paired with the fresh cuisine will have your taste buds dancing and your wallet with room for dessert. I highly recommend this as one of the best, if not the best, Greek restaurant in the Wiesbaden area. Great Job Kavos, keep up the great service and fine food!

Newer Greek restaurant in downtown Wiesbaden. We've been twice now and loved it both times. You can do small plates to share or full entrees. We love and absolutely recommend the dip sampler as a starter. Above all things the staff is what makes this place, they are extremely friendly and more than willing to help and make recommendations... oh yeah, good red wine!!

Excellent food and service. English speakers. Had such an incredible meal at this very nice restaurant! The manager came to our table twice to check everything and was very polite. I also noticed him move to several other tables to check service and food quality. This is a great restaurant specializing in Greek food and you will not be disappointed.

A place to go at for good wines and excellent dishes

Nice and modern location, innovative menu with modern interpreted Greek cuisine. Alone the appetizer plate is awesome. Very good and high quality products, super friendly and competent staff and a huge wine selection. Definitely always happy!

Amazing food and service!

Kavos Restaurant skillfully avoids all the usual trappings of traditional Greek restaurants. So you will not get big plates with heaps of meat here. Instead, you will find a surprisingly refreshing selection of a wide variety of authentic traditional Greek dishes, each really nicely prepared and presented. All of this in a stylish, timeless interior at affordable prices. As they say in French, this place is not just "Mérite un détour", but is definitely "Vaut le Voyage"!

The food was delicious! There was a great selection and the wait staff was friendly. The owner even came to our table, shook our hands and thanked us for coming to his restaurant. I had the grilled octopus and love it. We loved the skewered meats. They had a hummus made out of different beans that was fantastic. The menu is not in English but use Google translate and you will be fine. Great location. Kind of small but it adds to the quaintness.

Fantastic food. A mix of German and Greek meats, seafood & vegitarian. 10 of us ordered different dishes. All we're good. My lamb fillet was excellent.

Okay Greek food for the price. Drinks are quite expensive.
